The Power Of Flowers? Why Now? Why Not?
Flowers have held a notable place in civilized (and maybe non-civilized) populations since the very beginning of mankind. Certainly, our greatest literature, poetry, Shakespeare, the Bible, etc. have used figurative flower symbols for good, evil, romance, and death.
Personally, I’m a weekend garden warrior who loves her flowers all year long. I strive for a blooming or at least a green view of some kind out of every window in my home, along with as many blooms as I can keep alive indoors. It only seems natural to me that flowers would ultimately end up as featured players in my art.
